queryminer was born out of a real passion for improving on a very difficult (but rewarding) data analysis process—search query mining.
Like many search marketers we had been using Excel to analyze our AdWords Search Query Reports. We dug deep into the data and developed methods for extracting value quickly from large data sets, but we never felt that we were maximizing our opportunities; especially when it came to eliminating waste by finding new negative keywords.
We paid dearly, by-the-click, for the knowledge locked in our AdWords search term report, and we knew that there had to be a better way to extract that hidden value.
We had the skills and team needed to execute on the problem: a PPC dude passionate about great customer experiences, a developer with black belt in innovation and the boots to match, an SEO specialist who looks great in a white hat, and a Project Management expert who professes Business Intelligence at the local college (has the pony-tail and everything).
As you can see, we started with the right team and a very intimate knowledge of the data and the problem. From that a crazy-awesome data mining process was born.
Once we realized how much better our new algorithm was compared to the labor-intensive, processes we had been using, we knew we had something worth sharing with the world.
queryminer slices, dices, and throws billions of calculations at the problem (something we just couldn’t do in Excel). It really shines at finding negative keyword phrases made up of combinations of words across thousands of search queries. We can’t tell you too much about the secret-sauce that makes up queryminer; we’ll have to let the results speak for themselves.
Bootstrapping a software company isn’t easy, and we are really proud of what we’ve accomplished so far. queryminer is producing great results for our early testers (in several of the accounts we’ve identified 100K+ in potential yearly savings), and we have a lot more great features planned.
If you have already signed up for the invite list, you won’t have to wait much longer. We want you to know that we are committed to making queryminer the most advanced and usable search query mining software available.
